Basketball Coach Henry “Hank” is the newest member of the Power House Athletics’ Coaching staff, having joined our coaching staff in early 2011. In his first season with us, Hank served as the head coach of our newest AAU team – our 14U Boys team. Hank coached this “first-year” PHA basketball team to a respectable 6-4 league record – a record that qualified our 14U basketball team for post-season play. Hank is a highly-motivated and organized “detail-oriented” coach who has a great deal of experience both playing and coaching basketball and working with younger athletes and their families. As the father of four young children, Hank has coached CYO basketball and other youth sports including soccer, softball, and baseball for nearly a decade. During his own youth, and later in high school and college, Hank played competitive men's basketball. Although Hank also competed on several other school sports teams including football, baseball, and tennis, his true "sports passion" continues to be basketball. Importantly, Hank is a devoted and responsive coach who is deeply concerned with the development and growth of every basketball player/athlete entrusted to him, and while Hank believes in a disciplined approach for coaching his players/athletes and he strives for positive results, he also believes that having fun - while competing - is of equal importance. Power House Athletics is pleased to have Hank on our coaching staff. To contact Hank, please email him at: hank@powerhouseathleticsny.com.
